The Role We are looking for a hands-on Senior Financial Controller to join our finance team at our headquarters in Amsterdam.

In this role, you will take ownership of the month-end closing process and core accounting activities across more than 35 entities in the Netherlands and internationally. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and structure of our financial administration.

You will work closely with the other Financial Controller and report directly to the CFO. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with numbers, takes pride in accurate and well-structured bookkeeping, and brings clarity and discipline to financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

· Take ownership of the month-end closing process and ensure completion within the agreed timelines across multiple local and international entities

· Ensure that national and international VAT/sales tax filings are completed properly and accurately, together with our Tax Specialist

· Ensure accurate, timely, and complete bookkeeping across GL, AR, and AP, and resolve inconsistencies where needed

· Prepare and support the annual reporting process in accordance with Dutch GAAP

· Support and coordinate external audits at both group and local level

· Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes and internal controls

· Work closely with the finance team to strengthen structure, efficiency, and consistency

· Handle ad hoc financial topics and projects

Requirements

· HBO/University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting and/or controlling, preferably within an international business environment

· Strong hands-on experience in bookkeeping, including GL, AR, and AP

· Proven experience with month-end closing and financial reporting

· Solid knowledge of Dutch GAAP, consolidations, and external reporting

· Solid knowledge of Dutch GAAP, consolidations, and external reporting

· Experience working with multiple entities and complex accounting environments

· High level of accuracy and attention to detail

· Confident, independent, and able to take ownership

· Strong communication skills and ability to work in an international environment

· Fluent in both Dutch and English is required
