About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Financial Administrator – Tax & Compliance to take full ownership of tax administration across multiple international entities.

This is a hands-on, autonomous position where you’ll manage tax registrations, filings, audits, compliance documentation, and act as the internal expert for all global tax-related matters. You will work closely with senior finance leadership and external tax advisors.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Administration & Compliance

  • Prepare and coordinate local tax registrations across multiple countries (including U.S. jurisdictions).

  • Track and interpret legislative/regulatory developments and advise internal stakeholders.

  • Prepare and file monthly and quarterly VAT / Sales Tax returns across various regions.

  • Monitor thresholds and determine registration requirements in relevant states/countries.

  • Maintain accurate tax documentation and ensure full compliance with regulatory obligations.

Operational Financial Tasks

  • Manage communication with tax authorities (email, phone, official letters).

  • Liaise with external tax advisors and compliance service providers.

  • Review and reconcile VAT/Sales Tax transactions within bookkeeping systems.

  • Support annual financial and tax audits with correct and complete documentation.

  • Provide internal teams with clear explanations of tax processes and train them when required.

  • Handle complex standalone tax tasks in coordination with senior finance leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 3–4+ years of experience in tax administration (VAT, Sales Tax, registrations, filings, compliance).

  • Strong knowledge of multi-jurisdictional tax processes (EU + U.S. is a plus).

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • High attention to detail; able to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.

  • Comfortable handling confidential information and working independently.

  • Ability to translate complex tax topics into clear, simple language.

  • Flexibility to collaborate across different time zones when needed.
