About the Role

We’re looking for a Tax & Compliance Specialist to take ownership of our global VAT and U.S. Sales Tax landscape.

While the role covers multiple jurisdictions, a significant part of your focus will be on U.S. Sales Tax compliance, registrations, and ongoing regulatory developments across states.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll not only manage tax processes but also act as the internal expert — proactively guiding the business through an evolving tax landscape.

What You’ll Do

Own Global Tax Compliance (with focus on U.S. Sales Tax)

• Take end-to-end ownership of VAT and U.S. Sales Tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions

• Prepare and file monthly and quarterly VAT / Sales Tax returns

• Monitor thresholds and manage registrations, especially across U.S. states

• Maintain accurate, audit-ready tax documentation

Stay Ahead of Tax Regulations

• Continuously monitor and interpret new and changing tax legislation (EU & U.S.)

• Translate regulatory developments into clear actions for the business

• Proactively assess impact on our products, flows, and operations

Drive Tax Knowledge & Guidance Internally

• Act as the internal tax expert for finance and business stakeholders

• Clearly explain tax implications and guide teams on correct processes

• Train and support colleagues where needed to ensure compliant operations

Stakeholder & Advisor Management

• Act as the main point of contact for tax authorities

• Collaborate with external tax advisors and compliance providers globally

• Work closely with finance and operational teams to ensure accurate tax treatment

Audit & Financial Support

• Support annual audits with complete and well-structured documentation

• Review and reconcile VAT/Sales Tax transactions within accounting systems

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 3–5 years of experience in VAT / Sales Tax compliance

• Strong interest or experience in U.S. Sales Tax (multi-state is a big plus)

• Solid understanding of EU VAT; international exposure is a plus

• Proactive mindset — you stay up to date and enjoy figuring out new tax rules

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines

• Clear communicator — able to translate complex tax topics into simple guidance
